Image Resources for Teaching and Research
The School of Art History recommends the following resources for images to be used in teaching and research within the School and for students' coursework.
University of St Andrews Image Database
- To gain access to the Art History collection you will need to download the registration form (pdf) for the image database. Please print it out, read the terms and conditions, then fill the form in and return it to the ITS helpdesk in the main University library, on North Street.
- To search for images in the database using more than one keyword, please enter the keywords separated by + (plus sign) and no spaces.
For example, to search for images using two keywords tintoretto and feet, enter tintoretto+feet in the search field. The search will then return results that include both keywords.
