Getting to St Andrews
If you are a short-term visitor who resides outside of the EU and do not possess a Tier 4 visa, then we recommend that you do not fly to the UK via Dublin, Ireland, as this causes problems with immigration into the UK. If you enter the UK via this route, you will be required to leave the country after two weeks and return again to ensure the appropriate immigration visa.
St Andrews is well connected to a number of international airports within Scotland. Edinburgh Airport is around 50 miles from the town and has good connections to the city of Edinburgh that offer transfers directly to St Andrews.
St Andrews Direct provide bus transfers from Edinburgh airport to St Andrews where you will be met by a St Andrews Direct team member at the airport. Walk-up transfers may be available on the day, but cannot be guaranteed therefore booking in advance is recommended.
