How to enrol

To enrol for an Open Association course please use the online shop.

Alternatively, you can complete the Open Association booking form (PDF) enclosed with the brochure and return it with the appropriate payment to the Open Association office.

Fees

Fees for all the courses are specified in the online course descriptions and in the Open Association brochure (PDF) .

Concession fees are available for the following (proof may be required at enrolment):

  • senior citizens
  • registered unemployed
  • registered disabled
  • students
  • staff of the University of St Andrews.

Payment

The University’s preferred method of payment is online by debit or credit card. You can make online payments at the online shop.

You can also pay by card or cheque using the booking form or in person at the Open Association office between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The Open Association also accepts contactless cards up to £30.

Please note we do not accept cash, and that the University will be phasing out the use of cheques over the next year.

Minimum class size

Some of our classes require minimum numbers in order to run. If a course is cancelled due to insufficient numbers, you will be notified before the course date and a full refund of the amount paid will be made. Please note that the refund has to be via the same payment method.

Refunds

Course fees will be refunded if you cancel your booking more than two weeks prior to the start of the course. In the event of a course being withdrawn due to insufficient enrolments, you will be advised of this before the due start date, and you will receive a full refund.

Please let us know about any illness, medical conditions or other additional requirements that could affect your participation in the Open Association programme. We can then ensure that appropriate arrangements are put in place to enable you to make the most of the opportunities we offer.
