Short courses

The Open Association offers a number of short courses on a variety of topics.

Please note that for short courses running in both semesters it is generally not necessary to have taken the first semester’s class in order to participate in Semester 2. Any exceptions to this are indicated in the course description.

Short courses including art and culture, and portraiture.

Short courses including programmes in British Sign Language.

Short courses including bridge, pilates, wine tasting and wildlife.

Short courses in historical topics from the Middle Ages to modern times.

Short courses on current affairs and international relations topics.

Short courses in literature including creative writing, Shakespeare, and Scottish novels.

Short courses including geology, astrophysics and medical breakthroughs.

Short courses in appreciation of opera and other forms of music.
