The curriculum will provide a fascinating insight into many aspects of Scottish culture, history and politics. Lectures will be given by academic staff of the University from the Schools of Art History, History, English, and Philosophical, Anthropological and Film Studies.
The course emphasises the traditional British approach of underpinning lecture content with seminars and tutorials. This approach fosters close relationships between staff and students and an intellectually stimulating environment within which to develop students' academic skills. In addition, there will be a number of distinguished external speakers.
Students attend the course in order to broaden their academic skill base and to experience university-level teaching and learning in the distinctive Scottish system.
